 | 18/02/2008 23:00Contracts signedSubsea Infrastructure signed in February 2008 to construct and operate a mobile desalination plant capable of supplying 20,000 cubic metres (20 million litres) of desalinated drinking water per day for the Water Development Department, part of the Department of Agriculture of the Government of Cyprus. The contract is for a 3 year period after which the plant can be moved to an alternate on shore or offshore location. A joint venture company called Silnir Cyprus has been formed to execute the project. Subsea Infrastructure and Nirosoft Industries Ltd, an experienced desalination equipment manufacturer are partners in this project. |
